Phase 1

The Phase 1 period commences the first applicable phase of Arkreen Network which is fed with real energy data, to support the uplink data aggregation.

The Phase 1 period represents the natural transition from the Phase 0 period. During the Phase 0 period Arkreen Network has developed most of its essential components and experimentally connected some solar PV panels to aggregate energy data via Remote Miners and Standard Miners. Unlike Phase 0 where simulated and real data are both feeding the network for development and user experience purposes, in Phase 1 all data are actually collected from real energy facilities such as solar photovoltaic inverter and smart plug.

Phase 1 begins on May 19th, 2023 with a testnet stage which issues testing token (tAKRE), followed by the mainnet stage that issues mainnet token (AKRE), since Feb. 28th, 2024.

In the Phase 1 period, the application scenario starts from solar PV panels (Data Supply Side) and uplink data utilization (Data Demand Side). The data demand side makes use of trusted energy data to provide services such as the issuing of RECs. The REC is represented by a minted NFT and allows Web3 as well as traditional projects, to offset their unavoidable carbon emissions by purchasing and retiring RECs.
