Phase 1

The Phase 1 period commences the first applicable phase of Arkreen Network which is fed with real energy data, to support the uplink data aggregation.

The Phase 1 period represents the natural transition from the Phase 0 period. During the Phase 0 period Arkreen Network has developed most of its essential components and experimentally connected some solar PV panels to aggregate energy data via Remote Miners and Standard Miners. Unlike Phase 0 where simulated and real data are both feeding the network for development and user experience purposes, in Phase 1 all data are actually collected from real energy facilities such as solar photovoltaic inverter and smart plug.

Phase 1 begins on May 19th, 2023 with a testnet stage which issues testing token (tAKRE), followed by the mainnet stage that issues mainnet token (AKRE), since Feb. 28th, 2024.

Upon testnet launch, the miner owners in Phase 0 will be airdropped with tAKRE as per the following rules:

  • For the Phase 0 Gaming Miner owners

    • If the same Gaming Miner owner bought Type 2 Remote Miners or Standard Miners before Phase 1 testnet launches, the owner will be airdropped in the Phase 1 testnet with the same tAKRE amount as the gAKRE that has been distributed to the owner as the mining reward for the Gaming Miner before the Phase 1 launch.

    • Otherwise, no tAKRE will be airdropped.

  • For the Phase 0 Remote Miner owners

    • The miner owner who owns Type 2 Remote Miners will be airdropped with tAKRE equal to the gAKRE reward amount that was distributed to him/her as the remote mining reward for Type 2 Remote Miners before Phase 1 testnet launches.

    • If a miner owner

      • bought Type 1 Remote Miners before Phase 1 testnet launches, and

      • also bought Type 2 Remote Miners or Standard Miners before Phase 1 testnet launches,

        then, the owner will be airdropped in the Phase 1 testnet with the same tAKRE amount as the gAKRE that has been distributed to the owner as the mining reward for the Type 1 Remote Miners before the Phase 1 launch.

    • Otherwise, no tAKRE will be airdropped.

  • For the Phase 1 Standard Miner owners

    • The miner owner will be airdropped with tAKRE equal to the gAKRE reward that was distributed to him/her as the standard mining reward before Phase 1 testnet launches.

  • For the owners having more than one miners

    • Follow above rules to determine the airdropped tAKRE amount respectively for every type of miners.

In Phase 1 testnet stage, miners earn tAKRE in the same way as the following mainnet stage, except for the token.

Once the testnet is tested to be mature and stable enough, it will transit to the mainnet stage. All Standard Miners, API Miners, Plant Miners and Consumption Plug Miners in the testnet will proceed in the mainnet. All Remote Miners and Lite Remote Miners in the testnet will migrate to the mainnet with their lifespan being restarted. Upon the mainnet launch, the earned tAKRE will freeze and the owner will be airdropped with a mapped amount of AKRE linear to tAKRE. See Arkreen Mainnet Transition for details.

In the Phase 1 period, the application scenario starts from solar PV panels (Data Supply Side) and uplink data utilization (Data Demand Side). The data demand side makes use of trusted energy data to provide services such as the issuing of RECs. The REC is represented by a minted NFT and allows Web3 as well as traditional projects, to offset their unavoidable carbon emissions by purchasing and retiring RECs.
